The third figure
Percentage and factor stand large on every bonus page. The calculation basis stands small or not at all — yet only it says what the factor runs on: the bonus credit alone, or deposit plus bonus.
Which operator publishes all three figures and which only two is set out row by row in the ranking on the front page. And anyone who has worked the turnover out once should also have read the page on playing responsibly: the figure that comes out is the actual price of the offer.
Between the two readings lies a factor of two at the same multiplier. A bonus described as “100% up to €500, 40× turnover” can mean €8,000 or €16,000 of turnover, and the headline does not say which.
The offers that could be computed
| Casino | Bonus | Factor | Basis | Turnover on €200 | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vave | 150% up to 1.5 BTC + 100 free spins | 50× | the bonus alone | €15,000 | 93/100 |
| Rainbet | 250% up to €2,100 + 60 free spins | 40× | deposit + bonus | €28,000 | 88/100 |
| Shuffle | 100% up to $1,000 | 35× | deposit + bonus | €14,000 | 86/100 |
| Rakebit | 100% up to $1,000 | 40× | the bonus alone | €8,000 | 85/100 |
The €200 is this page's worked example and not a recommendation for a deposit size. Anyone depositing half of it halves every figure in the second-to-last column.
For the remaining 16 houses in this comparison nothing stands here. Not because their bonus is bad, but because one of the three figures is missing — and a result without it would be a guess.
The calculation, step by step
Worked on Vave, so that where every figure comes from can be followed:
- 01Deposit — €200the starting point on this page, not a recommendation
- 02Bonus of 150% — €300credit that lands in the account
- 03Base: the bonus alone — €300the cheaper base: the deposit stays out of it
- 04Factor of 50× — €15,000how much has to be turned over before anything leaves
The calculation has no more steps than that. It is the only piece of arithmetic on this whole page, and it needs three published figures — if one is missing there is no result, rather than an approximate one.
What a bonus actually fails on
Almost never the factor. The four terms that turn up in complaints are different ones:
- The maximum stake during the turnover. Nearly all terms cap it, often at a few euros a round. Anyone going above it loses not the stake but the whole bonus — the single most common case there is.
- The game weighting. Slots mostly count in full, live tables often at ten per cent or not at all. A factor of 40 at the tables is arithmetically a factor of 400.
- The deadline. The same turnover in seven days is a completely different thing from the same turnover in thirty.
- The excluded deposit route. Rarer at crypto cashiers than at euro ones, but it happens.
Playing without a bonus is an option
A bonus ties the balance to conditions. Anyone who wants to deposit, play and withdraw again without meeting a turnover declines it — at most houses that is a tick box in the cashier form, and afterwards none of the four terms above applies.
That is not advice but a possibility rarely mentioned on bonus pages, because it has nothing to sell.
