The route of the euro

Buying bitcoin in order to play at a casino

No casino on this list takes euros. The route therefore always runs through a third stop — and that is where the two things happen that make the amount smaller.

The cashier converts nothing — it takes what arrives.
Four stops between the bank account and the balance at the cashier. The euro does not go straight into the casino: it is exchanged at a trading venue and moves on from there. It gets smaller at exactly two points — the rate and the network fee.
  1. 01
Open an account at an exchangeAn exchange is a trading venue, not a bank and not a casino. Users identify themselves there as they would at a bank. That is the point at which the route stops being anonymous — and it stops there whatever a casino writes about anonymity later on.
  2. 02
Pay in eurosBy one of the six routes below. The direction of the route matters more when planning than its fee does.
  3. 03
Buy the coinThis is where the first difference in rate appears. Anyone buying a value-stable coin trades the rate risk for a fixed quantity: the amount credited is the amount sent.
  4. 04
Send it to the cashierThe cashier issues an address and names exactly one network with it. Anyone sending on the wrong network loses the transfer — the most expensive mix-up on this whole route and the only one nobody undoes.

The six routes out of a bank account

Six routes by which the euro leaves a bank account, and which way each one runs. Four lead to an exchange, one straight to the cashier, and Klarna by its own design has no way back.
RouteTypeDirectionWhat to know
SEPA transferBank accountthere and backThe only euro route that works in both directions and the only one where the recipient's name appears on the bank statement.
SEPA instant transferBank accountthere and backTechnically the same rail as an ordinary transfer, only credited immediately; some banks charge for it.
Credit cardVisa, Mastercardthere, limited backThe refund is often capped at the amount paid in on the same card; anything above that comes back by another route.
Klarna / SofortPayment serviceone way onlyCommon as a way in and practically non-existent as a way out — the way back runs over a bank transfer.
PayPalPayment servicethere and backNot every exchange takes PayPal, and where one does the fee is usually above that of a transfer.
Crypto transferBlockchain networkthere and backThe only route on which the same address works in both directions, with no intermediary standing at the cashier.

Fee levels do not stand here: they change with the exchange and the bank, and they would be wrong on the day you read this.

Which houses take the coin bought this way at all is stated with a reading date in the ranking of bitcoin casinos. Direction is the one property that can be established without a stopwatch — and the most important one when planning. A route with no way back forces the withdrawal onto another rail, and that other rail is almost always a bank transfer, which is precisely the route the payment service was meant to avoid.

A value-stable coin runs on several networks at once. The networks differ in fee, confirmation time and address format, and the cashier issues an address for exactly one of them.

  • Before sending: read the network stated at the cashier, set the same one in the exchange's selector. Both must show the same word.
  • The first time: send a small amount, wait for the credit, then send the rest. The doubled network fee is the price of not risking the whole sum.
  • Never: take an address from a chat, an email or a screenshot. The address comes from the cashier, freshly, every time.

Which deposit is worth making

The question can be answered without a fee table, because the fee is not the decisive item. Three other things are:

  1. Does the money come back the same way? If not, plan the withdrawal onto a bank transfer from the outset.
  2. Does the amount change on the way? With a value-stable coin it does not. 15 of 15 cashiers that opened take one.
  3. Does the lower limit fit? Crypto cashiers mostly start at the equivalent of a few dollars, euro cashiers mostly at a two-figure sum.

Common questions

What readers actually type into the box
How do I deposit into a bitcoin casino?
Through an exchange: pay in euros by transfer or card, buy a coin and send it to the address the cashier issues. The critical point is the network — the cashier names exactly one, and a transfer on the wrong network does not arrive.
Can I deposit euros directly at a bitcoin casino?
Not at the houses in this comparison. They run their cashier in coins, and the euro is exchanged beforehand at a trading venue. A house taking euros directly is not a crypto casino but an online casino with a crypto coat of paint.
Which deposit route is the best?
For a first deposit, the SEPA transfer: it is the only euro route that works in both directions and the only one where the recipient's name appears on the statement. Anyone who already holds coins sends straight to the cashier and skips the exchange entirely.
What happens if I send on the wrong network?
The transfer does not arrive, and nobody can retrieve it — neither the casino's support nor the exchange. That is why this page advises sending a small amount the first time and waiting for the credit.
